She begins a relationship with her cousin Dupree and attempts to recover Cooper's hidden stash. She is arrested for her part in the misguided attempt.

Biography[]

Background[]

Cooper is imprisoned after being apprehended for bank robbery. Kelso divorces him after waiting ten years. She begins a relationship with Dupree, a distant cousin. Together Kelso and Dupree try and recover Cooper's hidden stash.

Season 1[]

Cooper escapes because he realises they have been breaking into houses in the neighborhood where he hid the money. He agrees to show them to the house where the money is hidden, offering a 10% share in exchange for their assistance. He gets the wrong house because he confused a school he used as a landmark with another nearby school. Dupree realises his mistake and shoots him in the abdomen so they can get the money without him. She still has feelings for Cooper and is upset that Dupree shot him.

When Dupree threatens and tortures the householders who have found and spent the money Kelso continues to sour on him. US Marshals arrive to apprehend them after recapturing Cooper. When things seem likely to get violent Kelso sets Dupree up by turning the lights on so sniper Tim Gutterson can shoot him. She says that she did it because he shot Cooper.

US Marshal Raylan Givens later tells Cooper that she is in custody and is likely to serve a custodial sentence.
